Volvo Trucks Workshop Inauguration Event

 On April the 7th GAA & Co. s.a.l., exclusive importer of Volvo cars, trucks and buses in Lebanon, inaugurated its brand new truck and bus service center and workshop, located in its new premises on the Dora Seaside road. The inauguration was held under the patronage, and in the presence, of Mr. Peter Semneby, Ambassador of Sweden. A crowd of personalities, civil and military, as well as representatives from the media were present, in addition to many Volvo customers.

Mr. Marwan Naffi, general manager of Volvo Lebanon, highlighted in his speech the importance of this new facility and the high technical level of the Volvo Lebanon servicing team, winner of many international awards from Volvo Sweden. He also emphasized his faith in the future of our country in spite of the current difficulties.

Mr. Lars-Erik Forsbergh, President of Volvo Truck MENA insisted on the long –more than 50 years- relationship between Volvo Sweden and Gabriel Abou Adal and expressed his pride in this new Volvo truck service center which was, as he said, a token for an additional 50 years of successful cooperation between the two companies.

Mr. Semneby, Ambassador of Sweden, also insisted on the strength of the relationship between the companies, which mirrored the strength of the relationship between Sweden and Lebanon.

A group of dancers, equipped with brooms, performed a specially designed choreography on a Volvo refuse collector truck, while a graffiti artist was covering the surface of two containers with graffiti inspired by trucks and trucking.

The event ended with a display of Volvo trucks and of the exceptional new Volvo XC90 SUV.

It is worth mentioning that this service center is one of the most recent ones in the region. It is equipped with the latest technology and it is run, managed and manned by highly experienced professionals trained in Sweden.
